Binance Fee Calculator
Break-even and round-trip cost on Binance's published BTCUSDT fee schedule.
A fee schedule only becomes real when it is attached to a position. This page applies Binance's published maker and taker rates for BTCUSDT to a trade you specify, and shows the exit price that returns your capital — plus what the round trip costs as a share of the margin you actually posted.
How it works
Break-even is not entry plus twice the fee. The closing fee is charged on the exit value, which is the very number being solved for, so the exit appears on both sides of the equation. Setting profit equal to total fees and collecting terms gives entry × (1 + entry fee) ÷ (1 − exit fee) for a long.
The difference from the approximation is small at retail fee levels and grows with the fee. What matters more is the second figure: leverage does not move the break-even price at all, but it divides your margin, so the identical round trip costs twenty times more of your posted capital at 100× than at 5×.

Round-trip cost across exchanges
Taker in and taker out on a 10,000 position — the honest comparison, since stops and liquidations never fill as maker.
| Exchange | Maker | Taker | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Binance | 0.020 % | 0.050 % | 10.01 |
| Bybit | 0.020 % | 0.055 % | 11.01 |
| OKX | 0.020 % | 0.050 % | 10.01 |
| Gate.io | 0.020 % | 0.050 % | 10.01 |

Margin ladders differ enough to move the liquidation price on identical inputs.
Or use the generic calculator with your own maintenance rate →Trading fees on Binance
Binance charges a maker rate when your order rests on the book and a taker rate when it removes liquidity. The standard USDⓈ-M schedule is among the cheapest of the major venues, and it falls further through the VIP tiers — which are driven by thirty-day volume and BNB holdings together, not by volume alone.
The BNB discount is a real rate change
Electing to pay fees in BNB cuts the futures rate by a fixed percentage. On a strategy that trades often this is not a rounding error: it comes off every leg of every round trip, and it stacks with the VIP tier rather than replacing it.
The trade-off is holding an asset you may not otherwise want, whose price has nothing to do with your strategy. Whether that is worth it comes down to turnover — which the round-trip figure above makes concrete.
Taker on the way out is the honest assumption
Fee comparisons usually quote maker rates because they flatter. Neither a stop-loss nor a liquidation can fill as maker: both remove liquidity by construction. Any exit that is forced is a taker exit.
The calculator above defaults to maker in and taker out, the realistic shape of a planned entry with a protective stop. Set both to taker if you trade by market order, and watch what that does to the cost as a share of margin at high leverage.
FAQ
What are Binance futures trading fees?
The standard USDⓈ-M rates are in the table above, with the best publicly listed VIP tier alongside. Your own rate depends on thirty-day volume and BNB holdings; the source links go to Binance's own schedule, which is authoritative.
Are futures fees the same as spot fees?
No. Futures rates are considerably lower and the two schedules have separate VIP ladders, so comparing a futures rate against a spot rate makes futures look better than the comparison warrants.
Do fees affect my liquidation price on Binance?
Not directly. Binance does not fold the closing fee into the maintenance requirement, unlike Gate and OKX. The fee still reduces what you recover, but it does not move the trigger — the liquidation calculator shows how the venues differ here.
