Liquidation price on Deribit
Enter average entry, BTC quantity and available margin. The result shows the estimated mark-price threshold, distance from entry and applied maintenance rate. This is a threshold estimate, not a guaranteed execution price.
Liquidation balance equation
Let E be entry, q quantity, M available margin, d direction (+1 long, −1 short), c the maintenance rate plus reserve, and A the maintenance deduction. At the threshold, M + d × q × (P − E) = q × P × c − A. Solving gives P = (d × q × E − M − A) ÷ [q × (d − c)]. Already-paid fees and funding must be deducted from the margin you enter.
BTC Standard Margin uses the leverage curve L(N) = 50 × (50/4)^[−max(0, (N/Nmax − 0.05)/0.95)^0.4], with maintenance rate 2/(3 × L). The BTC_USDC-PERPETUAL specification snapshot sets Nmax to 2,000 BTC; larger sizes are rejected. At 0.5 BTC, maintenance is 1.333333%. With entry 60,000 and margin 3,000, the long threshold is 54,729.7297 USDC under the stated assumptions.
What to verify before using the result
Parameters are a dated snapshot rather than current account data. Verify your contract, margin mode and current limits on the venue. Other positions, orders, margin changes and mark/index differences can move the threshold. A planned stop-loss and estimated liquidation answer different questions.
FAQ
Why is size entered in BTC instead of contracts?
Contract multipliers differ. Convert contract count into base-asset quantity using the specification. Price and margin use the quoted contract's own quote currency.
Can I use the result for a different margin mode?
Use only the mode stated above the calculator. A different mode or contract requires checking its collateral equation and maintenance requirements separately.
Is liquidation price the exit fill price?
No. It is the estimated threshold under the stated assumptions. Execution, partial liquidation and other venue-engine actions can occur at different prices.

These pages already carry the venue's own published numbers, so there is nothing to look up — and each cites the documentation it was built from.
